Get phone number and carrier name

Is there a way to get the phone number and carrier name with Xamarin.Forms? If not, is there a way I can interface with Xamarin.Android or Xamarin.IOS code to do so (see these threads: https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/7606/can-i-get-the-carrier-name and https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/7575/get-phone-number)?
