I apologize in advance for not searching the forums (and the Bugzilla) extensively for this error. If this issue has already been addressed, all I need a link to the post.
Basically, let's say I have my PCL Xamarin.Forms project where I put all of my platform-independent views. Let's say I have 2 folders in that project: Edit and Search. The names aren't very important. If I create 2 different ContentPages named MainPage.xaml (again, the names don't really matter) -- one for Edit and one for Search. In other words, my project structure looks something like this:
Views
-> Edit -> MainPage.xaml
-> Search -> MainPage.xaml
This won't compile. I get this "Cannot find a part of the path '[absolute path to Views here]\Edit\MainPage.xaml;Search\MainPage.xaml'" error.
I just want to know if this something well-known or does it mean that something is wrong with my development environment? It is definitely reproducible on two different machines, so maybe the problem isn't the environment.
Thank you.
