Buttons in stacklayout unresponsive (in a spanned row)

I have a vertical stacklayout that spans two rows in a grid, the buttons in the 2nd row are totally non responsive. It seems that they never get the touch event. I played around with the order of the buttons and the issue only affects the buttons in the 2nd row.Is this a known issue? Is there a work around?
