Xamarin Forms on a single platform (iOS) VS2013 installation.

Anyone with experience of developing on just the one platform in Visual Studio? I've not had a great experience so far. I couldn't quite push to the £1200 ($2000) as it's a personal project for both iOS and Android in Business edition so I bought just iOS. I still want to play with Xamarin Forms but it's moaning about missing Android. I don't even have the .Droid project in my solution anymore.
I've tried both installing with Android (unactivated) and without on two similar VM's. To be honest the installation without Android results in some really bad errors. The unactivated version just keeps badgering you upgrade.
I had indie edition but really missed Visual Studio and Resharper so stumped up the money. At this point I really wish I hadn't.
In summary I've paid £600 ($1000) for a pretty poor experience so far.
