I have Xamarin installed on multiple computers and I'm experiencing different behavior on each. On my main system creating new cross-platform projects (shared or PCL in Visual and Xamarin studios) creates platform projects for both iOS and Android but not windows phone. On my other systems winphone projects are created as expected.
Failing system: Microsoft Visual Studio Premium 2013 Version 12.0.31101.00 Update 4, and Xamarin 3.9.236.0.
Working system: Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2013 Version 12.0.31101.00 Update 4, and Xamarin 3.9.185.0.
Despite the minor version differences, I've cleared the visual studio project template cache, ran devenv.exe -installvstemplates, and verified that the Xamarin templates in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Xamarin\Xamarin\3.9.236.0\T\PT\Mobile Apps include winphone projects.
As far as I can tell, the templates on both systems are the same. I have noticed when I create a new Xamarin.Forms project on the failing system, it creates a WindowsPhone project directory at the same level as the Android and iOS directories, but it's empty.
I'm totally baffled by this, and it's really annoying. Any help is appreciated!
