My application is keeping the screen always on

I wrote a simple android application which opens my website in a WebView . It's intented to run on a tablet , in an info kiosk .

The problem is that it keeps the screen always on and this drains the battery faster than it recharges .
I want the screen to turn off after the timeout set in android settings .
