Just doing a quick search for 'public roadmap' shows me I'm not the only one interested in this I've seen several companies using Trello nowadays so it's actually not too big of an admin overhead for them to maintain. They simply create a public read only trello board and put on the things being worked on. One example is the Unreal Engine 4 board from Epic. It's very easy to reorganize tasks based on user demand as well!
It would be great to have at least some idea on what's going on and what the Xamarin team is focusing on. I don't think UserVoice gives any meaningful feedback on the current direction.
We have projects based on Forms and we find ourselves in a peculiar spot where we don't know if we should try to hack and fight the framework and try to find workarounds for bugs and performance issues related to the latest Forms release or we can actually afford to wait for the fixes we require to successfully ship our products to our clients on time.
I believe this doesn't only benefit the Forms project of course but everything related to Xamarin. To give you a quick example, I've just upgraded to XCode 6 without considering the consequences in XS, and now I find that I can't launch any of the simulators anymore through XS; fortunately devices still work though. Would be nice to know if XS is coming anytime soon on the stable branch for X6 support or should I spend time on workarounds.
Is the Xamarin team open to this?
