Is Xamarin.Forms the new Xamarin?

Would there be any reason to still code using xamarin, or is that the point of Xamarin.Forms to replace the old ways of xamarin? I understand the beauty of Xamarin.Forms, and please understand my love of it, lol but I had someone ask if I learned Xamarin for nothing now that all I talk about it Xamarin.Forms haha But is there any functionality I am missing out on by using just Xamarin.Forms ? And is there any reason other than lack of originality that Xamarin.Forms apps are all going to start looking like each other with just having 5 page types, or am I over analyzing?
